Tough choices ahead

New child protection requirements likely to follow the national child abuse inquiry must dovetail with those already underway, children’s services directors have warned.

Following publication of the final report by the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) on 20 October, local government has responded positively to warnings it must oversee or contribute to greater regulation of child protection services.
