Voters keep focus on local politics

The local election results showed people ignored national politics in deciding who to vote for, senior sector figures have suggested.

Chairman of the Local Government Association (LGA), Gary Porter, told The MJ the results indicated voters were ignoring national issues when voting in council elections.
