West Yorks leaders pessimistic about devolution deal

Senior West Yorkshire Combined Authority figures are pessimistic about their chances of striking a devolution deal for the region any time soon, The MJ has been told. 

One senior Leeds City Region source quipped that leaders expected a deal ‘when HS2 arrives in about 2049’.
