Whitehall social care chief gets key Greater Manchester role

The Government’s social care chief has been appointed to head up Greater Manchester’s new devolved partnership, as £6bn of health funding is devolved to local authorities in the region.

Jon Rouse has been appointed as chief officer of the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership, which takes charge of health services today.
