Nearly half of £2bn handed to local authorities for discretionary business grant funding has yet to be allocated, the Government has said.
Councils need to prove they have spent or ‘made a validated attempt to spend’ their allocated additional restrictions grant by Friday July 30 to qualify for a share of the latest £425m top-up announced at the Budget.
