Adapt to survive

There is an increasing interest in commercialisation within local government. But if commercialisation is going to make a significant contribution to the revenue flows of councils, it has to mean much more than getting third parties to pay for services within their areas.

It has to involve creating a profitable trading activity with reach beyond the council’s boundaries.
