Contrary to Diary’s reputation earned after years of swiping from the sidelines, we do need the occasional bit of good news to keep us going.
And so Diary’s heart was warmed by news from Northumberland Council, which rallied to help a couple have the wedding of their dreams this year after it was in danger of being dashed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s announcement of a national lockdown.
