Barwell backs calls for strategic housing plans

Housing minister Gavin Barwell has backed county calls to join up local plans across ‘functional economic geographies’ to ease pressure on infrastructure and services.

Writing in The MJ this week, the County Councils’ Network’s spokesperson for economic growth and prosperity, Cllr Anne Western, claimed joined-up plans and financing would mitigate the impacts of new developments on communities.
