Bayeux battle (part deux)

The Bayeux Tapestry depicts the Norman Conquest of England but a millennium later another battle is breaking out between the nation’s councils.

Within hours of French president Emmanuel Macron’s plans to display the piece in the UK being made public, those two local authority rivals – Hampshire CC and Portsmouth City Council – were pulling back their metaphorical arrows.
