Boosting Blackpool: the main attractions

After the Lords select committee on seaside towns published its report on regeneration, Blackpool Council's Antony Lockley explains what his council is doing to boost the town for residents and tourists

With 18 million visitors a year, Blackpool holds a very special place in the hearts of the British public. It remains the number one seaside resort in the UK.

Over the past few years, more than £500m has been invested in attractions, transport infrastructure, public realm and events to keep the resort at the forefront of British tourism for generations to come.
