Boosting Blackpool: the main attractions

With 18 million visitors a year, Blackpool holds a very special place in the hearts of the British public. It remains the number one seaside resort in the UK.

Over the past few years, more than £500m has been invested in attractions, transport infrastructure, public realm and events to keep the resort at the forefront of British tourism for generations to come.

That huge investment, much of it public sector-led, includes a wholesale remodelling of the seafront and rejuvenation of the tramway.
