Borrow from HRA to fund fire safety work - Javid

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is considering allowing councils to borrow from their housing revenue account (HRA) to fund fire safety work in the aftermath of the Grenfell fire, the communities secretary has said.

Sajid Javid was giving evidence to the communities select committee yesterday, with housing minister Alok Sharma, local government minister Marcus Jones, and northern powerhouse minister Jake Berry.
