Budget brought welcome support to district economies

District councils are the engines of local growth and are crucial in delivering strong economies, one local economy at a time.

Last week’s Budget brought welcome support to different but vital areas of district economies, in our town centres and our rural areas. The additional funding for infrastructure in town centres, alongside the greater flexibility in planning laws, will ensure districts can support our town centres in reshaping themselves to remain a vibrant part of community life.
