Business leaders want councils to have more powers

Business owners have backed plans to give councils more powers, despite many of them saying they have not been consulted by their local authorities.

A survey published by the think-tank Centre for Cities, in association with law firm TLT, reveals 57% of bosses believe their companies would benefit from local government having greater control over local transport.
