Call for councils to take on ‘Big Six’ energy purchasers

Every council in England could soon enter the energy business and take on the ‘Big Six,’ according to Grant Thornton.

A new report by the international consultancy entitled Making decentralised energy happen called on authorities of all sizes to consider how they could help tackle fuel poverty or generate income through energy.
