Call for rethink over 'flawed' investment crackdown

Disappointed council leaders have called for a rethink of ‘flawed’ proposals that could ‘severely limit’ the investment options of half of UK local authorities.

The Local Government Association (LGA) will warn that a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) plan to reclassify the status of councils and their pension funds as retail clients has ‘many serious difficulties’.
