Call for 'surge vaccine supplies' as Indian variant spreads

Local public health experts have asked the Government for ‘surge vaccine supplies’ amid anxiety over the spread of the Indian variant of coronavirus.

Directors of public health in Greater Manchester want the freedom to be able to vaccinate all ages, starting in areas experiencing an outbreak where cases have been ‘stubbornly highest throughout the pandemic’.
