Care Act cash queries

This week, the long anticipated Care Act comes into force. The changes to the system have the potential to bring significant improvements to the way people receive the care and support they need.

Councils across the country have worked hard to be ready for the transformation, but we now urgently need to make sure there is enough money in the system to pay for it.

Many councils have already adopted the principles enshrined in the Act, but nevertheless, the changes that came into force on 1 April have shifted the philosophy behind providing care.
