Cheshire East suspends third top officer

Cheshire East Council suspended its third senior officer yesterday, after the chief executive and head of legal services were suspended earlier this year.

Peter Bates, the council’s chief operating officer, has been suspended after an investigations and disciplinary committee meeting.
