Council attitudes towards community groups have a ‘clear impact’ on their success and sustainability, a think-tank report has found.
The informal community effort proved to be vital in the early days of the coronavirus lockdown, with neither councils nor the conventional voluntary sector agile enough to get the right help to the right people straight away.
