Council buys Tesco site for £43.5m

Rotherham MBC has bought a former Tesco store, which will form a key part of a £43.5m regeneration project.

The council confirmed last week it had exchanged contracts with the supermarket giant to buy the site in the Forge Island part of the city centre.
