Council cuts could scupper transformation

Whitehall’s failure to fund local government could scupper ‘ambitious’ NHS plans to transform health and care, according to a report by The King’s Fund today. 

The report on sustainability and transformation plans (STP) warned slashing council budgets would make it ‘difficult to sustain existing preventative services - let alone expand them’.
