West Sussex CC has pledged to fight plans by the police and crime commissioner (PCC) to take control of the local fire and rescue service.
Cllr Louise Goldsmith has launched a new campaign, entitled Safer in our Hands, after it was revealed Sussex PCC Katy Bourne was looking at taking over the service.
