'Councils crucial to meeting carbon target'

The UK’s target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 can only be reached with the contribution of councils, according to a new coalition. 

A blueprint report drawn up by the coalition of local government, environmental and research organisations said councils were an ‘indispensable partner in reaching the UK’s world-leading legislative target to reach net zero by 2050’.
