Councils told to seek no-deal Brexit legal advice

Local authorities will have to seek their own legal advice on how to handle personal data in the event of a no-deal Brexit, the Government has said.

If Britain leaves without a deal, the UK will no longer comply with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation requirements.
