A vision featuring ‘flexible and bold devolution plans’ has been laid out by the chairman-elect of the County Councils Network.
Kent CC leader, Cllr Paul Carter, prioritised achieving ‘radical devolution’ for county areas during his tenure and said he would ‘not stand-by while counties shoulder a disproportionate burden of deficit reduction or are unduly penalised’.
