County council rejects devolution plans

The prospect of devolution to Lancashire were dealt a blow yesterday after four councils including the county council rejected the idea of a combined authority.

Lancashire CC, and Wyre, Ribble Valley and Fylde BCs, declared themselves out of any negotiations to secure a deal from central government, leaving 11 councils left in the process.
