EXCLUSIVE: Cabinet Office rules out elections delay

The Cabinet Office has ruled out any further delays to local elections despite the complexity of going to the polls amid a pandemic.

A short deferral of a few weeks had been mooted by some councils, The MJ understands, to allow enough time to get the electoral roll in order without having to knock on doors during the second wave of the pandemic.
