EXCLUSIVE: Section 114 notice floated for Pembrokeshire after 'unlawful' decision

Pembrokeshire CC councillors have been advised a Section 114 should be issued following an ‘unlawful’ £95,000 settlement agreement with former chief executive Ian Westley.

A report - discussed behind closed doors this week but seen by The MJ - written by the authority’s deputy monitoring officer in conjunction with senior finance officers said the payoff was ‘not one which could properly be taken by the leader or any other individual councillor and was one which needed to be taken by full council’.
