East Riding top of recycling rates

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has topped the Government’s list of local authority recycling rates in England for 2018/2019.

New data, published by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra), shows the council led with a 65% household waste recycling rate. It has been in the top three councils for waste recycling since 2015/2016.
