The Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) has appointed former Slough BC director of social services, Cathie Williams, as its first chief officer.
Ms Williams has also worked for Barking & Dagenham LBC, Oxfordshire CC and Gloucestershire CC and said she was ‘thrilled to bits’ to take up the new role, which was created after a review of the association’s management structure.
