Harrow's chief executive to take on national role

Harrow LBC’s chief executive Michael Lockwood has been appointed as the first director general of the newly created Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).

From January, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), which oversees the police complaints system in England and Wales, will become the IPOC.

Mr Lockwood will take over from current IPCC chair, Dame Anne Owers.
