Hodge hits out at funding as he steps down from Surrey

Surrey CC leader, Cllr David Hodge has hit out at the Government for doling out cash to the NHS while cutting council budgets.

In his resignation speech to full council today, he highlighted the £16bn cut from councils nationally since he became leader in 2009 – more than £230m from Surrey.
