How the North-East is leading the way in innovative affordable housing delivery

Whilst critics of the government’s Levelling Up agenda claim that the policy is vague, its success or failure will ultimately be judged by a number of tangible measures, such as the delivery of fit for purpose infrastructure and available stock of affordable, climate-adaptable housing.

Whilst much media coverage has focused on the North East’s disappointment at the cancellation of proposals for HS2 to go direct to Leeds from Birmingham and beyond, for affordable housing, there has been a much more discreet success story.
