In the dark over local lockdowns

Local areas remain in the dark about whether they will be handed any additional powers to impose coronavirus lockdowns.

Although Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said that a national lockdown will be replaced with individual self-isolation and local lockdowns, no additional legal powers have yet to be confirmed, leaving local areas reliant on existing public health powers.
