Kent to plan for no-deal Brexit as risk increases

Kent CC will hold exercises over the coming weeks to test preparations for handling the impact of a no-deal Brexit.

As prime minister Theresa May warned the risk of an accidental no-deal increased the longer it took to pass a deal, councillors were warned that the potential impact could include reduced service standards, delays in waste collection, longer customer response times, and problems with school transport, school meals and social care staff reaching users.
