LEP stand-off continues

Councils continue to resist a Whitehall-driven boundary review of local enterprise partnerships (LEP) despite the threat of financial penalties.

Overlapping geographies, which the Government wants removed by spring 2020, continue to affect the Sheffield city region (SCR) and Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP (GBSLEP) – six months after a Whitehall deadline came and went.
