The Prime Minister’s decision to scrap the housing borrowing cap gives councils a ‘huge opportunity’ to build homes, says Lord Porter. The Treasury needs to fulfil the promise ahead of the Budget

It’s not often I tear up these days when it comes to the politics – at least, for positive reasons – but last Wednesday, when the Prime Minister announced that the housing borrowing cap was to be scrapped was an incredibly moving moment for me.
