Make time away from crime

The plans for an in-year funding reduction of £9m are a cause for concern for councils and threaten to undermine the great work our councils and Youth Offending Teams (YOTs) do in engaging young people to keep them away from crime.

This unexpected reduction, recently announced by the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales, is on top of savings already identified for 2015/16 and risks throwing agreed local work plans into jeopardy.
