Miller attacks Whitehall’s welfare reform policies

The president of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives has launched a scathing attack on the Government’s welfare reform policies.

Jo Miller, who is chief executive of Doncaster MBC, said the bedroom tax costed ‘a lot and achieves nothing’ while Universal Credit had loaded the public sector with at least £0.5bn unnecessary rent collection costs.
