A minister has refused to guarantee no council will receive less money under the new funding formula as local authority finance dominated prime minister’s questions (PMQ).
Asked whether she could ensure no councils would get less money as a consequence, Heather Wheeler, under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), declined to answer the question directly.
