NAO: Government must do more to ensure LEP value for money

The Government has been reprimanded for not doing enough to ensure billions of pounds given to local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) are delivering value for money.

In a new report, the National Audit Office (NAO) told the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) it needed to be more proactive in evaluating the effectiveness of the money given to LEPs through local growth deals.
