Negrini steps down from Croydon

Crisis-hit Croydon LBC has announced the departure of chief executive Jo Negrini.

In July, The MJ exclusively revealed the council had approached the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government on the as it was approaching a Section 114 notice.

Croydon was predicting an overspend of one-fifth of the council’s net expenditure, with millions of pounds of service transformation savings planned in the 2020/21 budget not viewed as unachievable.
