When a town is extended with large-scale residential development, the end result can sometimes be an uncomfortable marriage of old and new, with the new neighbourhood and its amenities ultimately competing with existing ones.

The UK Regeneration (UKR) extension to the market town of Biggleswade, in Central Bedfordshire, is being created with both new and existing neighbourhoods in mind.
