No-fault evictions to be axed

Local government has welcomed plans to axe ‘no-fault evictions’ in England as a ‘first step’ in improving housing security.  

Housing secretary James Brokenshire announced today the Government would consult on abolishing section 21, bringing an end to private landlords uprooting tenants with as little as eight weeks’ notice with no good reason.
