Nottinghamshire leader steps up unitary push

Nottinghamshire CC’s leader has stepped up her push for a unitary council to cover the county.

A motion to a full council meeting by Cllr Kay Cutts argued the current two-tier system was ‘inefficient and ineffective’ and that forming a Nottinghamshire unitary would provide a ‘proactive solution to the current budget challenges’.
