Occupancy rates unsustainable in 26 Bradford care homes, says care chief

Occupancy rates are unsustainable in 26 care homes in Bradford, with people  ‘genuinely worried’ about the risk of further virus outbreaks, says the council’s social care chief.

Strategic director, health and wellbeing at Bradford City Council Iain MacBeath highlighted the impact of the virus on local care homes as Legal and General (L&G) and Newcastle City Council this week announced a new £5millon charitable partnership to improve elderly care.
