Perfecting the art of procurement

The Procurement Bill is reaching its final stages in Parliament. The Bill is designed to replace the EU public procurement regulations which have been the regulatory basis for public procurement in the UK for many decades.

The EU regulations have all too often been unfairly maligned and used as cover for unimaginative and even damn right poor procurement policies and process. It is important that the new Bill when enacted – it is expected to be in place in early 2024 – is not used similarly.
