Preventing the EU’s workforce exodus

We need to be prepared to leave the EU without a deal, says the Prime Minister. What could that mean for social care? The leak of the government’s classified Operation ‘Yellowhammer’ report laid out the likely scale of the impact, focusing on the warning that care homes are at risk of closure.

The assumption is there will be no big changes in adult social care on the day after EU exit, according to Yellowhammer. But the report says a social care system that is already ‘fragile’ is expected to be pushed over the edge by a no-deal.
