It has been a privilege to serve as the president of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and to represent 18,000 members and students in 178 countries in our shared commitment to improving public financial management and governance.
In handing over to my successor Sarah Howard, I am pleased to report good progress in relation to the three themes that were the focus of my presidential year.
