Regional targets for asylum floated

Regions could be allowed to come up with collective targets for the number of asylum seekers they agree to look after, The MJ understands.

The Home Office has indicated it is open to agreeing regional targets instead of suggesting goals for each individual council as part of discussions on alternative models of dispersal.
